DBHDD is Georgia’s newest state agency, which began operating on July 1, 2009. Being a new organization provides DBHDD both challenges and opportunities that are unique and rewarding, including expanding Georgian’s understanding of and support for adequate mental health, developmental disabilities, and addictive disease services.
