The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Program Associate with the Nursing Administration Department at Georgia Regional Hospital At Savannah (please visit www.garegionalsavannah.com for more information about the hospital). Shift will be 8:00am-5:00pm.

Job Description:

This position provides clerical support to Nursing Administration. This position will assist with the Nursing Staff licensing process-maintaining the files. Duties include, but are not limited to: . Organization of Meetings including agenda and document preparation along with taking and preparing minutes. . eProcurement Requester-maintaining and requesting supplies for nursing department and for nursing on all six units. . Scheduling interviews, appointments, training, etc. . Preparing excel spreadsheets for data collection; data entry into AVATAR and other sources. . Maintaining the competency files for nursing staff. . Ensuring that all orientation and mandatory training files are current and complete. . Completion of paperwork associated with the hiring process; maintain current staff roster for nursing services. . Filing and organization of new and obsolete documents. . Assists with the compilation and submission of hourly staff payroll and overtime requests in PeopleSoft and Kronos. . Assists with organizing daily activities and the efficient function of the nursing departments. . Assists with the planning and coordination of meetings, conferences, seminars, and travel calendars . Will perform a wide variety of office support and secretarial duties for the nursing department including acting as back-up for clinical administrative staff. . Answers, screens and directs telephone calls for department.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED and two years of related experience OR One year at the lower level or at an equivalent position OR Two years of college or Associate degree.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the use of MicroSoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint; Experience taking minutes and scheduling. Experience as an office assistant for a minimum of 2 years.
