The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD), is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Psychology Chief at West Central Georgia Regional Hospital (please visit http://www.wcgrh.org/ for more information about the hospital).
Job Description
Plans, organizes, directs, and coordinates the delivery of health services. Develops and implements related policies and procedures. Monitors and evaluates healthcare programs. Directs subordinate managers and staff.
Job Responsibilities & Performance Standards:
Assisting the Psychology Chief in managing the Psychology Department, with a focus on quality management and staff performance. Monthly monitoring of a fixed sample of all psychology assessments, documentation, recovery plans, and mall groups. Data-based mentoring of psychologists on all assessments and documentation. Undertaking inter-rater agreement checks with other monitors. Assuming responsibility when Psychology Chief is not the facility. Some clinical duties including individual counseling and psychological testing as needed.Other duties as assigned by Psychology Chief.

Doctorate degree in a related field and one year experience performing management responsibilities in a health care services environment.
Or
Two years at the lower level or position equivalent.
Note: Some positions may require certification or licensure

Senior licensed (or license eligible) Psychologist with a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology. Supervisory experience (good leadership and people skills). Experience in Mental health (AMH &/or Forensic). Experience conducting and writing psychological assessments. Experience with Individualized recovery planning. Knowledge and background in behavioral treatment (including behavior support plans)

This position is located at West Central Georgia Regional Hospital in Columbus, Georgia. Columbus, Georgia is an authentic Rivertown. The gently rolling waters of the Chattahoochee have provided food, energy, employment, and recreation for the citizens of Columbus throughout the years. Today, the river is home to the 12-mile path known as the Chattahoochee Riverwalk. The Riverwalk provides an excellent facility to bike, in-line skate, jog, or just take a leisurely stroll and enjoy the scenery.
