Health Services Technician
The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD), is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Health Services Technician at Georgia Regional Hospital At Savannah (please visit www.garegionalsavannah.com for more information). Full-time positions available on campus units:
Admissions/Temporary Observation (2 on 3:00p-11:30p) (2 on 11:00p-7:30a)
Acute Care Unit #6 (2 on 3:00p-11:30p) (7:00a-3:30p)
Recovery Care Unit #3 (7:00a-3:30p) (3:00p-11:30p) (11:00p-7:30a)
Lakeside Center, Bloomingdale, GA (3:00p-11:30p)
Hourly positions available at Lakeside Center and throughout the hospital.

Provide basic patient care and work with patients/clients to develop daily living skills May take vital signs Job Responsibilities & Performance Standards: 1. Answers clients call signals 2. Assists in administration of medications and treatments, takes vital signs, and/or draws blood or collects other bodily fluids, as directed by a physician or nurse 3. Bathes, grooms, shaves and dresses clients 4. Conducts activities for recreation and socialization 5. Ensures safety and security of clients 6. Feeds clients who are unable to feed themselves 7. Observes and documents patient data, behavior and activity 8. Prepares clients for treatment or examination 9. Provides client care by supplying and emptying bedpans, applying dressings and supervising exercise routines 10. Provides clients with help walking, exercising, and moving in and out of bed 11. Provides sub-professional occupational and/or physical therapy services to physically and/or developmentally disabled patients 12. Transports and/or accompanies clients to treatment units, using a wheelchair or stretcher 13. Turns and re-positions bedridden clients, alone or with assistance, to prevent bedsores

High School Diploma or GED
Must obtain the Safety Cares certification by completion of new employee orientation. High School Diploma or GED and a valid driver's license from the state in which applicant resides. Experience and/or education in health/mental health or related field is a plus.
