Psychologist - Positive Behavior Support (PBS) Team

Georgia Regional Hospital at Savannah is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Psychologist on the Positive Behavior Support (PBS) Team.

Job Description:

Licensed Psychologist who supervises and leads the PBS Team and assists unit-based Mental Health Counselors with the implementation of behavioral interventions. The PBS Team conducts behavioral assessments and interventions with residents. The PBS Team consists of the PBS Psychologist, a Behavior Analyst, a Registered Nurse, and forensic and mental health technicians. The PBS Psychologist will participate in and supervise every aspect of the PBS process. This includes writing functional assessment of behavior; writing behavior support plans; and all aspects of plan implementation, including staff training, data collection, and data analysis.


Qualifications

A current Georgia license to practice psychology (license may be temporary, provisional, or permanent)

Preferred Qualifications

Ideal candidate holds a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification. Prior experience working with Severe Mentally Ill individuals. Prior experience working within a state, federal, or other treatment setting. Must obtain the Safety Care certification by completion during new employee orientation. Must complete training on PBS Model upon employment.
