Job Description

The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Forensic Psychologist, Inpatient at Georgia Regional Hospital - Atlanta, located in Decatur, GA.

Job Responsibilities & Performance Standards:

  • Provides the necessary diagnostic assessment and integrated psychosocial assessment
  • Completes forensic evaluations
  • Provides active treatment such as DBT that requires a licensed psychologist
  • Assists in the management of individuals with significant behavior problems

     

    Qualifications

    A current Georgia license to practice Psychology

    *License may be temporary, provisional, or permanent*

     

    Preferred Qualifications


    A doctoral degree and experienance working in the field of Forensic Psychology. A current Georgia license to practice psychology (license may be temporary, provisional, or permanent). At least two years of experience conducting competency to stand trial and criminal responsibility evaluations and risk assessments with the PCL-R:2 and the HCR-20. Previous inpatient experience is preferred.
