Classification/Compensation Specialist

Job Description

Job Responsibilities:


  • Classify positions consistently through the Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities and insure consistency with State of Georgia Job system
  • Insure compliance with classification and pay policy under the State Personnel Board rules
  • Conduct job audits as appropriate to insure appropriate, consistent and fair position classification and FLSA exemption determination
  • Utilize PeopleSoft data to insure fair pay
  • Ensure organizational compliance with federal and state laws, including reporting requirements
  • Develops tools and provides training as needed

 

Qualifications

Completion of a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university and two years of related professional human resource experience in one or more of the areas of assignment


OR

Masters degree in a related area and one year of related professional human resources experience in one of more of the areas of assignment

OR 

One year of experience in an equivalent area to the lower level

Note:  Professional experience may substitute for the degree on a year for year basis
