Clinical Chart Specialist - HRIS and Admissions
The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Clinical Chart Specialist at Georgia Regional Hospital - Atlanta, located in Decatur, GA.
Provide direct clerical support to the medical staff and nursing staff
Responsible for management of the retrieval and processing of patients clinical, legal, medical, and laboratory documents received from other locations
Enter data into the computer data management systems
Collect patient demographic information and assembling patient charts
Oversee and manage the Medical Clearance Processes through various referral agencies
The shift available is 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM (ADMISSION)
The shift available is 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (HRIS)

High school diploma or GED and one year of related experience
One year of vocational/ technical school or college education
One year at the lower level or at an equivalent position
Preference will be given to those who, in addition to meeting the above qualifications, also possess the following:
- An Associate Degree in Health Information Technology or at least a year working in an HIM Department

This position is a pay grade 9 on the statewide salary plan.
