Job Description

The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD), is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Physician Assistant at Georgia Regional Hospital At Savannah (please visit www.garegionalsavannah.com for more information). This position is currently available in Clinical Department and on Forensic Unit #2.

Job Description:

Provide healthcare services typically performed by a physician, under the supervision of a licensed physician. Conduct complete physicals, provide treatment, and counsel clients. May, in some cases, prescribe medication.

Qualifications

A current license to practice as a registered professional nurse AND completion of a masters degree from an accredited college or university in the respective nursing specialty AND authorization of the Georgia Board of Nursing for the specialty area OR Eligibility to obtain certification to practice as a physician assistant through approval by the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners

 

Preferred Qualifications

Psychiatric experience preferred.
