Health Aide (AL) - Psycho-Social Rehabilitation (Driver Requirements)
Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) is
seeking qualified candidates for Health
Aide -Advanced Level (Psycho-Social Rehabilitation) at Southwestern State
Hospital in Thomasville, Georgia
Provide basic patient care and work with patients/clients to
develop daily living skills, improve recovery through education. Staff will take part in multiple activities
by leading educational groups, or co-facilitating groups with a leader.
Modeling appropriate behavior and following suggested practices of
individualized recovery plan to promote recovery of individual through
counseling and support.
& Performance Standards:
Performs job responsibilities with
Serves as job expert or organization
resource in assigned areas
May supervise and/or direct the work
Assists in administration of recommended
therapeutic treatment as identified on individualized recovery plan
Conducts activities for recreation and
Ensures safety and security of clients
Implements assigned parts of client
individualized treatment and behavior management plans
Observes and documents patient data,
behavior and activity in electronic medical record
Provides clients with transportation,
leadership, education on daily needs in group, in token
economy, in vocational rehabilitation

High School Diploma or GED and One year of experience in a
related field OR One year of experience at the lower level or position
Required - Must have:
Georgia driver's license
MVR record and
· Meet the
requirements for operating a state-owned vehicle: must be 21 years of age and
have a minimum of 3 years driving experience.
Experience with electronic medical record
Basic knowledge of Person Centered Therapy
