Mental Health Counselor - Forensic Services
The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD), is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Mental Health Counselor - Forensic Services at Georgia Regional Hospital At Savannah (please visit www.garegionalsavannah.com for more information about the hospital).
1. Develops, implements, and is responsible for the integrity of behavior support plans. 2. Recognizes and discusses potential behavioral problems with the treatment team. 3. Develops and is responsible for the day to day duties of a token economy system. 4. Works with psychology staff with assessment administration and report writing. 5. Work with unit treatment team and nursing staff to carry out individualized treatment plans. 6.Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision 7. Compiles reports of findings and submits in appropriate format 8. Coordinates program with other health care providers/ organizations to promote optimal implementation of program services 9. Develops policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines for the program
Bachelors degree in related field AND Two years of related experience OR Masters degree in a related field
Master's Degree in Forensic Psychology, Psychology or Counseling. Licensed or eligible for licensing in specialty area. Prior experience working with a forensic population. Valid Driver's License from the state in which candidate resides.
