Rehabilitation Services Chief
The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD), is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Rehabilitation Services Chief at Georgia Regional Hospital At Savannah (please visit www.garegionalsavannah.com for more information about the hospital).
Rehabilitation Services Chief is responsible for the overall administration, clinical planning, development, and operations of the Rehabilitation Program / Services. Ensures rehabilitation staff is providing appropriate care to consumers in keeping with established standards for quality and in accordance with generally established principles of care. Supervises the scheduling of consumers for therapy services considering available treatment hours, staff resources and overall plan of care. Manages the evaluation and development of Activity Therapy programs and services, PSR Mall programs and services. Oversees and coordinates the Rehabilitation Mentor and required CRIPA related compliance activities. Completes required forms and documents in accordance with hospital policy and state and/or federal regulations. May be required to perform consumer care duties as their licensed discipline.

Current or eligible for Georgia licensure in area of assignment AND Three years of clinical experience in area of assignment OR Three years of experience at a level equivalent to the lower level (HCP041)
Preference will be given to those candidates who, in addition to the qualifications listed above, possess the following: . Bachelors degree from an accredited program in a clinical rehabilitation field required: nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech pathology, social work . Current valid state licensure as an OTR, RPT, or SLP preferred. . Clinical leadership experience in a hospital environment required . Inpatient Rehabilitation Program Management experience preferred . Effective, credible, engaging leader with ability to motivate, influence, and hold team accountable . Excellent interpersonal skills to achieve strong consumer and treatment team relationships . Highly organized, systematic and able to function consistently in a fast paced environment . High level of initiative and ability to manage competing priorities and short deadlines . Effective oral and written communication with all levels of the organization . High level analytical and critical thinking skills . Strong visionary and strategist - embraces shared decision making . Superior understanding of regulatory guidelines . History of meeting / exceeding operational goals and objectives
