The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD), is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Dietitian at Georgia Regional Hospital At Savannah (please visit www.garegionalsavannah.com for more information about the hospital).
Plan and conduct food service or nutritional programs to assist in the promotion of health and control of disease. Provides nutritional assessment, education and counseling to individuals, groups or the public. Serves as a resource on nutrition and dietetics to nurses, health educators or other health care providers in the facility. Recommends nutritional care plans and documents plan and progress in records. Serves as team leader. Job Responsibilities & Performance Standards: 1. Performs job responsibilities with minimal supervision 2. Serves as job expert or organization resource in assigned areas 3. Serves as project or team leader 4. Advises clients and their families on nutritional principles, dietary plans and diet modifications, and food selection and preparation 5. Assesses nutritional needs, diet restrictions and current health plans to develop and implement dietary-care plans and provide nutritional counseling 6. Consults with physicians and health care personnel to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions of client 7. Coordinates recipe development and standardization and develops new menus for independent food service operations 8. Counsels individuals and groups on basic rules of good nutrition, healthy eating habits, and nutrition monitoring to improve their quality of life 9. Develops curriculum and prepares manuals, visual aids, course outlines, and other materials used in teaching 10. Develops policies for food service or nutritional programs to assist in health promotion and disease control 11. Inspects meals served for conformance to prescribed diets and standards of palatability and appearance 12. Monitors food service operations to ensure conformance to nutritional, safety, sanitation and quality standards 13. Prepares and administers budgets for food, equipment and supplies

BS in Nutrition, Health & Kinesiology, Dietetics or related field with one year experience, RD and/or LD
Must be licensed in the State of Georgia with the potential to be registered in 3 years. Possess excellent computer skills. Previous EMR experience a plus but not required. Must be able to work flexible shifts on weekends when needed.
25.00 / hour. This is an hourly position with no benefits associated.
