The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) is seeking qualified candidates for Health Aide (hourly) at Southwestern State Hospital in Thomasville, Georgia

The Intensive Treatment Residence (ITR) is a segment of the hospital's community services and provides residential services to adult male individuals with sever and persistent mental illness.

Provide basic patient care and work with patients/clients to develop daily living skills. May take vital signs.

·          High School Diploma or GED

·          Must Obtain Safety Care Certification by completion of new employee orientation (this certification must be maintained as a term and condition of employment)

Travel Required - Must have:

·          Valid Georgia driver's license

·          Acceptable MVR record and

·          Meet the requirements for operating a state-owned vehicle: must be 21 years of age and have a minimum of 3 years driving experience.

·          Experience working with Mental Health, Substance Abuse and/or Developmental Disabilities

·          Computer/Technology skills

·          Excellent communication and customer service skills

·          Avatar or Data Entry experience

$8.00 / hour. This is an hourly position with no benefits associated.

This position is located at Southwestern State Hospital in Thomasville, Georgia.
