The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD), is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Program Assistant on the Admissions / Temporary Observation Unit at Georgia Regional Hospital At Savannah (please visit www.garegionalsavannah.com for more information about the hospital). This position is available on the 3:00pm - 11:30pm shift.

Job Description:

This position will process referrals in a timely manner. Will perform clerical functions as needed. Will be responsible for entering individuals' admission data into the Avatar system as well as obtaining individuals' signature on documents.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED and one year of related experience OR One year of vocational/ technical school or college education OR One year at the lower level or at an equivalent position

Preferred Qualifications

One - two years of computer experience and customer service delivery. MS Office Suite skills. Experience with Avatar system a plus. Excellent customer service skills a must. Experience in a medical office or hospital admissions unit admitting patients. Experience working in a fast-paced, busy environment.
