Job Description

The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Crisis Intervention Clinician 2, Licensed with the Mobile Crisis Response Services (MCRS) Program at Georgia Regional Hospital at Savannah - Community Programs (please visit www.garegionalsavannah.com for more information about the hospital). This position is located at 1915 Eisenhower Drive in Savannah, Georgia.

Job Description:

This position will provide community-based crisis intervention services for C&A and Adult populations with mental health and/or substance abuse diagnoses, to include de-escalation of crises, completing clinical assessments to determine risk of harm and clinical level of care, providing education to consumers, their families, and significant others in early detection of signs and symptoms of relapse, providing brief solution-focused therapy as indicated, development of safety plans and treatment plans, discharge planning, referring and linking consumers to community providers in the least restrictive environment, providing continuity of care/follow-up services for consumers and support services for consumers, their families, and significant others. This position will be responsible for completing 1013's, contacting appropriate individuals during the assessment process, assisting in triage of crisis calls, dispatching clinicians to assigned calls, providing consultation for clinicians during crisis calls, performing weekly chart audits, assisting in monthly staff training, assisting in maintaining consumer records, and assisting in completing monthly reports. This position will participate in community presentations regarding program services and will attend monthly meetings with collaborative partners in the continuum of care for children, adolescents, and adults. - The MCRS Adult and C&A Program provides services on a 24/7 basis; however, MCRS Team Clinicians are responsible for completing a maximum of three (3) crisis assessments during assigned on-call days. - MCRS Team Clinicians are usually scheduled for primary on-call assignment 1-2 days weekly, based on staffing. - Primary and secondary MCRS Team Clinicians are scheduled daily in order to provide programmatic coverage. - MCRS Team Clinicians primarily work a standard 40 hour work week, with two (2) days off weekly. Based on the crisis aspect of services for this Program, schedules are adjusted accordingly if a MCRS Team Clinician works beyond a standard 40 hour work week. - MCRS Team Clinicians are scheduled for weekend coverage primarily 1-2 times monthly, based on staffing and number of weekends in each month (4 or 5). - MCRS Team Clinicians are scheduled to receive time off for all State Holidays, either on the actual holiday date or time is adjusted accordingly.

Qualifications

Masters degree from an accredited program, licensure in the area of assignment And Two years of related post-license experience Or Masters degree from an accredited program, license in the area of assignment AND Two years of experience at the lower level (HCP051)

 

Preferred Qualifications

As required by DBHDD, this position must be held by a candidate with Master's in Social Work. Candidate must be Licensed in the State of Georgia. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who is able to complete a 1013. Experience in crisis intervention services, completing of consumer-centered clinical psychosocial assessments and treatment planning, knowledge of community resources and discharge planning, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, interfacing with multiple community providers, programs, and agencies, and providing program presentations. . Excellent writing and verbal communication skills. At least two years previous work experience in providing Mental Health, Substance Abuse, or related social services in a community or hospital setting.
