Licensed Social Service Provider
The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) is seeking qualified candidates for a Licensed Social Service Provider at Region 1 located in Cartersville, Georgia.

Performs psychosocial assessments, treatment planning/monitoring and discharge planning. Provides counseling/therapy to clients requiring complex intervention. Performs commitment determinations and/or execute orders of involuntary commitments. Serves as team leader. The social service provider will be able to support the intake evaluation team as the regional voice in the regional counties.
Masters degree from an accredited program, licensure in the area of assignment And Two years of related post-license experience Or Masters degree from an accredited program, license in the area of assignment AND Two years of experience at the lower level.
LCSW Preferred. Two years of experience providing therapeutic counseling, case management and coordination services, and assessments for court depositions, legal preceedings, and/or written reports of assessment findings. Experience in the field of mental retardation and developmental disabilities highly desirable. Computer experience that includes Microsoft Word, Excel, and E-Mail.

This position is a pay grade 14 on the statewide salary plan.
This position is located in the Region 1 in Cumming, GA.
Cumming, GA, is located approximately 40 miles north of Atlanta. Lake Lanier is a popular spot for boating, fishing, and other water activities. There are a number of campgrounds in the city including Bald Ridge Creek Park, Sawnee Park and Shady Grove Park. Also located near Cumming is the historical Mill Covered Bridge, built in 1906, which spans Settendown Creek.
