Forensic Services Technician 1
The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD), is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Forensic Services Technician at Georgia Regional Hospital At Savannah (please visit www.garegionalsavannah.com for more information about the hospital).
Full-time positions available on the following Forensic Units:
Unit 4 (2 on 7:00a-3:30) (3:00p-11:30p) (11:00p-7:30a)
Unit 5 (7:00a-3:30p)
Provide basic patient care and work with patients/clients to develop daily living skills. Completes required documentation in patient and unit records. Takes vital signs as needed and document accordingly in the Electronic Medical Record. Ensures safety and security of clients. Observes and documents patient data, behavior and activity. Prepares clients for treatments or examinations. Transports and/or accompanies clients to treatment units. May assist with bathing or activities of daily living.
High School Diploma or GED
Must have Security Experience, whether civilian or military Security experience, AND/OR one year of experience in direct care with persons with mental health, mental retardation, and/or substance abuse disabilities, or with forensic patients, correctional offenders, or a similar population.
