Georgia Regional Hospital located in Savannah Georgia is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Employee Relations Coordinator to service both Georgia Regional Hospital and DBHDD Region 5.


Under limited supervision, the Employee Relations Coordinator position will have duties and responsibilities as follows, but not limited to:


Will be the first-level of contact and resource for employee relations issues and concerns. Responsible for offering basic and intermediate level employee relations assistance and support to employees, managers and supervisors.  Assists managers and supervisors by reviewing disciplinary and corrective action letters, and offering them assistance and guidance as needed.  Will assist with offering group training sessions and 1-1 training to managers and supervisors on Employee Relations and other HR topics.  Gathers information, facts and follow-up as needed to assist with ER matters (i.e. HR investigations, Grievances, etc.).  Handle unemployment responses and represents the agency as needed.  Will be responsible for running and analyzing queries and reports.  Will be responsible for maintaining files, records and other information.  Will assist with the performance management process.  Will assist the HR Operations Manager and Sr HR Manager with special projects and requests as needed. 


Completion of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university OR Two years of related experience in human resources

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates Degree or higher in Business, HR, or related field is preferred; however, will also consider candidates with course work, training certificates or certification in HR related field
  • HRCI Certification (SPHR or PHR) is a plus
  • At least 3 years of HR experience, with at least 1 year of experience handling Employee Relations issues and work as identified in the job description above
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Proficiency in MS Office software
  • Experience investigating and resolving Employee Relations complaints
  • In-depth knowledge of Federal and State employment regulations
  • Experience delivering training and presentations to line staff and managers
